Slavna Martinovic was born in Belgrade in 1977. She finished high school in Hong Kong where se grew up. Slavna studied at the London College of Fashion and after she graduated in 1997. After her graduation she returned to Hong Kong where she started her freelance career as a stylist, make up artist and costume designer. She moved in 1999 to Los Angeles where she worked in music and film industry, with stars like Chloe Sevigny, Famke Janssen, Dougray Scott, Daniela Amavia, Tory Spelling, Pink, Usher, Aerosmith, A perfect circle, Deadsy, Orgy, Travis and others. As a stylist, she collaborated with many fashion magazines W, Harpers Bazaar, Flaunt, Contents, Cosmopolitan, US weekly, Marie Claire, Soma...

She has also worked on many featured films like “Baby doll forever”, “The woman every men wants”, “Connecting dots”,” Big top winkle”, “Awakening from dead”, “Seven and a half” as well as theatre plays “The Graduate”, “God of Carnage” to name a few.

In 2001, she was nominated for "Best make up in a music video" by the MVPA in Los Angeles. She was awarded "Zlatna Mimoza" for "Best costume" in a movie "Seven and a half" at the Film festival in Herceg Novi.

In 2007 she started her fashion line creating limited edition hand crafted and finished luxury garments, accessories, jewelry and shoes. Her first collection "Vintage Melancholy" was shown in Belgrade, and featured in local editions of L'Officiel, Elle, Gala, Joy, Faar, Grazia...

Her second collection “Brave new luxury” was shown at the Berlin Fashion Week in June 2008 and it was featured on Vogue online, Vanity Fair online, Bunte and many other online publications.

Her latest collection autumn winter collection Hello Tiger! was exhibited along the side of the paintings of Simonida Rajcevic at the Arte Reale Gallery in Milan last December.

Her current collection spring summer 2010 is a mix of timeless hand crochet and silk pieces with delicate embroidery and rock chic hand made jewelry with vintage crystals. She has also started a line of hand painted jeans with point lace.

She creates non-seasonal limited edition hand crafted and finished garments and jewelry that appeals to true connoisseurs of style.

She currently completed a collaboration with a dance troop Roni and Guy for a piece called Pinball Grace” that will premiere in Groningen in October 2009, she has also collaborated with the troop for the piece “60 Years” that premiered in January 2009 at the Schaushpiel House in Cologne.

In 2009 she has completed her Masters degree in Multimedia Arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade.

She lives between Frankfurt and Belgrade.
