slavna devotes a great amount of energy to details, she lovingly refers to it as 'decor terror'. whether her designs are highly stylized or camp, factual or trash, her efforts are to galvanize the projection of the intimate space of the performer. she hybrids a strange mix of an untypical mélange of antique silks, hand embroidery, discarded objects, plastics, and her grandmother's unending wardrobe...all gloriously crafted, painted and produced by hand. apart from her obsessions with materiality, color, and space, she is never at a loss for the meaning of dress as an extension of the character's performance of identity, gender, and other social and sequential specificities that resonate with the tale told.

recently, slavna also co-collaborated on stage design with the director saar magal  'obsessions' at the burg theater in vienna and 'love me more' at the schauspielkoeln.

her latest designs include bizet's carmen directed and choreographed by constanza macras conducted by maxime pascal at theater basel in switzerland, 'hunger', a performance by constanza macras at the volksbühne in belrlin, as well as the three penny opera directed by saphir heller fort the 2026 brecht festival in augsburg.

she has just completed a collaboration with kirill serebrennikov both as a director and co designer of vagner's das rheingold conducted by kirill petrenko for the salzburg easter festival .
